Blush Roses in a Red Vintage Vase - Print

In my home, I have a cherished collection of vintage fabrics, each piece brimming with history and character. As I prepared to create this still life, I was inspired to incorporate one of these textiles into the composition. Draping a sumptuous piece of velvet, reminiscent of an elegant curtain, I arranged the scene with the vibrant roses taking center stage in a bold red vase – a treasured find from my flea market adventures.

This painting was created in December 2020, a time when the world felt unfamiliar and uncertain, with the festive season just around the corner. Despite the challenges, I was determined to capture a sense of warmth and hope in my art.

To bring this vision to life, I employed the impasto technique, applying thick layers of paint and expressive brushstrokes to create a rich, textured surface. The result is a dynamic and captivating piece that showcases the striking contrast between the lush velvet backdrop and the vivid hue of the red vase.

As I painted, I found solace in the creative process, allowing myself to be fully immersed in the beauty of the moment. Print Information:

This is a signed limited edition print that is designed to fit a 15" x 12" or 16" x 20" picture frame with a mount (which is not supplied). The print is protected with acid-free tissue paper and is produced using archival premium quality Canon Lucia Pigmented ink. It's printed on 280gsm Soft White 25% Cotton Archival Fine Art Paper, which ensures a minimum display life of 100 years under normal conditions.

Additionally, each print is personally inspected, approved and signed by the artist.
