Aaah the ever abundant garden hydrangeas…These came from a shrub lovingly given to me 8 years ago by my interior designer friend. It’s been growing from strength to strength ever since and my garden looks so much better for it.
Hydrangeas really are a gift that keeps on giving - their majestic flower heads never fail to delight in season, but even in the murky days of late autumn and early winter, cut promptly and dried, they make a magnificent addition to dry flower arrangements.
Painted in the summer of 2021, when the world stood still because of the pandemic, and as an artist I discovered what I had around me was worthy of painting too, as inspiration is all around us, if we only care to look…
