Farm Sunflowers and Sedum in a Clear Vase - Print

In July 2021, I found myself embarking on an impromptu adventure with my son to Churchfields Farm, nestled in the picturesque Worcestershire countryside. We decided to cycle through the rolling landscape, taking in the breathtaking views as we pedaled our way to the farm's Maize Maze. Our ultimate goal, however, was to acquire some of those magnificent sunflowers that can only be found flourishing on farms.

Upon arriving at Churchfields, we were captivated by the expansive fields and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the farm. We couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder as we navigated our way through the winding Maize Maze, reveling in the beauty of nature and the simple joy of exploration. The highlight of the day, though, was undoubtedly the sight of those vibrant sunflowers, standing tall and proud as they basked in the golden sunlight.

Once we returned home, I eagerly began arranging the sunflowers into a bouquet, excited to capture their essence on canvas. However, as I assembled the composition, I realised that the arrangement needed a touch of greenery to complement the bold yellow and bring balance to the piece. Serendipitously, I found the perfect solution in my very own garden—a bit of lush sedum, which I carefully incorporated into the bouquet.

With the bouquet now complete, I set to work on immortalising this unforgettable day through my art. The painting serves as a vivid reminder of the spontaneous journey with my son, the awe-inspiring beauty of the Worcestershire countryside, and the simple pleasure of getting lost in nature. As I gaze upon the finished piece, I am transported back to that magical day when we set out on our bicycles, our hearts full of anticipation and wonder, and discovered a little piece of paradise amidst the sunflower fields.

Print Information:

This is a signed limited edition print that is designed to fit a 15" x 12" or 16" x 20" picture frame with a mount (which is not supplied). The print is protected with acid-free tissue paper and is produced using archival premium quality Canon Lucia Pigmented ink. It's printed on 280gsm Soft White 25% Cotton Archival Fine Art Paper, which ensures a minimum display life of 100 years under normal conditions.

Additionally, each print is personally inspected, approved and signed by the artist.
